Dare Hospice is a philosophy of care that seeks to fulfill the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of persons who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness that no longer responds to traditional medical treatments. Hospice also cares for the needs of the patient’s family and loved ones during these difficult times.
The Charity Classic is a men’s & ladies’ doubles tennis tournament to benefit Dare Hospice. This year’s tournament will be held at Duck Woods Country Club and WestSide Athletic Club on October 2nd – 5th, 2014. Fall is lovely on the Outer Banks, a perfect time for a Tennis Vacation. We hope you will join us in promoting tennis on the Outer Banks.
Without our wonderful sponsors this Charity Classic could not exist. Their generosity will help support the uninsured and underinsured patients and families helped by Hospice, providing care, medication, and equipment. These funds, of which 100% go directly to Hospice, also support the Hospice Volunteer Program.
We love our volunteers! Join us for a fun weekend of tennis. Volunteering is a great way to support Dare Hospice and to see what the tennis community is all about. There are several positions available from manning registration tables, to monitoring the courts. Opportunities for adults and students.
